Weekly Update: Feb 12

Don't know if you have noticed, I have, there's more light during the day. Feels good to me! As we wrap up our season after Epiphany and all this talk of light we will begin our Lenten journey again next Wednesday.

• Ash Wednesday service will be at 6:30pm. There will be the imposition of ashes and Holy Communion.

  • For those who would like to "let loose" the night before we will be heading over to St. Mark's on the south hill for their Jazz Liturgy and Chocolate reception. The bus will be leaving the church at 5:30pm. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex and there are currently 5 seats left.

    
    

• Tomorrow is Come to Friday Dinner beginning at 4:30pm. Fried Chicken, scalloped potatoes, and vegetables. You can eat it at Advent or take it with you.

  
  

• The Ladies Luncheon is this Saturday at 11:30am at the Max at Mirabeau.

  
  

• Monday, President's Day, the church and child center will be closed.

  
  

Thank you to everyone for all their well wishes, prayers, and gifts as we said goodbye to our intern, Vicar Brendan Wiechert. We hope to hear soon not only of a call but then an ordination date!!
