Thursday nights are hopping at Advent! The St. Arbucks group (youth) will meet at 6:30pm. Kara would not be disappointed if some other adults would be willing to be a part of the group. As we settle into the Lenten season, a reminder that you can watch the 6:30pm Wednesday service online on our YouTube page. Also, next Wednesday will begin the potluck soup dinners. Bring your favorite soup! (And, yes, it can have meat in it.) Tomorrow night is Come to Friday dinner and we are having comfort+ food (Like comfort+ seating on the plane). What a great worship service last week! A multimedia sermon (with youth actors) and a baptism! This Sunday we continue with Jesus' start of his ministry in the Gospel of Matthew. Pastor Holly Gunby will be preaching and presiding while Pastor Matt and Vicar Brendan will be out of town (one further than the other.) Come to Friday dinner is tomorrow night beginning at 4:30pm. This Saturday is the funeral for Ed Orr it will begin at 11am. If you signed up to bring cookies (or even if you didn't but would like to) please drop them off anytime after 10am. There will be lunch after the service. The church office and the child center will be closed on Monday as we observe Martin Luther King Jr. day. Well, after too many hurdles and lots of effort, our new website is up and active! Of course we will be continually updating and "fixing" it as we go along. Have you heard bells ring ting tingling? How about all those Christmas shows that you never seem to catch up on? Tomorrow night starting at 4:30pm the "Come to Friday Dinner" crew will be not only be serving a wonderful meal of comfort food but we will be having a movie night also as we enjoy our meal. This Sunday we get to hear from John the Baptizer and his preparations of the coming Messiah. Then we get to gather and enjoy cookies and carols with our Santa Lucia court. Wow, did you know that our Come to Friday dinner crew handed out around 110 meals last Friday? Along with our usual crowd we had families from the Child Center for our Art on Broadway.
