Weekly Update: Feb 19

Here we are in Lent and winter has shown up. This next Wednesday will be our first soup supper and worship beginning at 5:30pm. Terry Powell will be making the soup. Soup potluck will begin March 4th. The theme for Lent this year is "Return to the Lord". This phrase comes from the Joel text that we heard at the Ash Wednesday service.

If you get a chance, you should read it. Joel 2:1-2, 12-17, focusing on 12-13. We will be using Holden Evening Prayer and our Lenten offering will be sent to Holden Village as a gift to help in this time of transition and recovery.

Flo MacDougall's reception will begin at 12:30pm tomorrow the 20th. Thank you to everyone that is bringing food and goodies!

St. Arbucks (youth group) will be meeting tonight at 6:30pm in the gym.

Join us after worship on Sunday to fill Oatmeal packets for the food bank. All ages are invited to participate.
