Weekly Update: Dec 11

Have you heard bells ring ting tingling? How about all those Christmas shows that you never seem to catch up on? Tomorrow night starting at 4:30pm the "Come to Friday Dinner" crew will be not only be serving a wonderful meal of comfort food but we will be having a movie night also as we enjoy our meal. The movie will begin at 5pm. We will be watching A Charlie Brown Christmas!

Remember that after worship this Sunday we will be having our semi-annual congregational meeting. The main item on the agenda is the 2026 budget for the church and the child center. Please stay and be a part of the action!

This Sunday is Gaudete Sunday or, better, in English it is (Rejoice) or Joy Sunday. It is the Sunday that we meet up with Mary and her response from Elizabeth about the child in her womb. That response is what we call the Magnificat. We will be singing it in place of the psalm this Sunday. We also light the pink candle to signify a break in the penitential mood of Advent into a more joyous expectation.

The Ladies Lunch is this Saturday at 11:30am. They will be meeting at Max at Mirabeau.
