Weekly Update: Mar 4

Thursday nights are hopping at Advent! The St. Arbucks group (youth) will meet at 6:30pm. Kara would not be disappointed if some other adults would be willing to be a part of the group. And the Holy Week Choir will be meeting at 6:30pm also, in the sanctuary.

Remember that Daylight Savings happens this weekend. "Spring" forward one hour for Sunday morning.

Well, it has happened! Pastor Brendan Weichert will be ordained at St. Luke's Lutheran on March 28th at 10am.Brendan has been called to American Lutheran Church in Newport, WA. (I believe it was a unanimous vote)Everyone is invited to be a part of this wonderful event!

Two of our young people have been called to duty in the Middle East, Jared Martin and Sierra Neumann. I leave with them this prayer as they set out:

Merciful God, when the storms of war and violence threaten, awaken my faith to know the power of your peace.Deliver from fear and ease my anxiety. Help me to endure times of uncertainty and give me strength to face the challenges ahead. Give me the assurance of your presence even in this time, so that I can cling to your promise of hope and life shown to me through Jesus Christ, my Savior and Lord.
